Lidmila “Lida” Keliar

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lidmila “Lida” Keliar on September 15, 2026, at the age of 92. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Milan.

Lida will be lovingly remembered by her children, Darina (Mike) and John (Franca); grandchildren, Brandon, Stephen (Rachel), Julian, and Francesca; and great-grandchildren, Wes and Farrah.

Born in the Czech Republic, Lida later lived in Slovakia before immigrating to Canada in 1968, where she built a loving home for her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren. Known for her strong faith, sharp wit and humour. Lida will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00–10:45 a.m. A private cremation will follow.
