With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Lidia Dziedziura on August 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength.
She was the cherished wife of Jerzy Dziedziura and the devoted mother to her sons Simon (Opal) and Mark Dziedziura (Madi), and daughter Marta Davidson (Mike). She found great joy in her role as Babcia to her grandchildren, Owen and Everly. She is Aunt to Irek (Regina) and Mirek overseas.
Lidia was predeceased by her son Jacek; parents, Roman and Halina; her sisters, Halina and Barbara; and her nephew Sławek.
Born on June 11, 1953, in Kamienna Góra, Poland, Lidia dedicated her early life to education, working as a teacher. In 1988, she and her family moved to Germany and then to Canada in 1991.
A woman of deep faith, Lidia was active in her parish and completed a Master of Theological Studies in 2009; an academic journey she had begun years earlier in Poland. Her dedication to spiritual growth was a guiding light throughout her life.
Lidia found peace in the simple things: a morning coffee and cigarette in the early sun, time spent on creative activities or painting, and the quiet joy of being surrounded by family. She was a resourceful woman who delighted in cooking traditional Polish dishes, often bringing comfort and warmth to others through her food. She was loving, kind, and selflessly generous with her time. Her warm spirit and gentle nature touched all who knew her.
Following the interment, there will be an informal gathering at Jack Astor's Vaughan at 1:45 PM on August 20 to raise a glass in Lidia’s honour.
