It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liberata D’Aversa, who left us peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late Aurelio D’Aversa, Liberata was a devoted mother to Tony (Irma), Lori (Guido), and Daniela (Jerry), and a proud and loving nonna to Sarah, David, Adam, Mattea, Tessa, and Jonah.
Liberata was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and enduring grace. A pioneer in her community, she was among the first women to open her own clothing store—turning her love of fashion into a successful business and a welcoming space for all. She was deeply devoted to both her family and the Church, generously giving her time and living her faith through acts of service and unconditional love.
She will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, wisdom, and the warmth she brought to every life she touched.
Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home on Friday May 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Roch Church on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
Forever in our hearts, reunited now with her beloved husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in accordance with Liberata’s wishes.
