Leonora "Leo" Marshall

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Leonora 'Leo' Edwina Marshall, 74, of Toronto, Ontario. Leo passed away on March 17, 2024, after battling lung disease.

Leo was born to Gwendolyn Enid and Bertram Marshall on August 7, 1949 in Bridgetown, Barbados. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony Vanterpool, Edward Marshall, Trevor Marshall, Carl Marshall, and is survived by sisters Marina Williams and Lauren Urtel.

She is fondly remembered by many nephews and nieces: Leslie, Luke, Sonia, Jenny, Andrew, Chris (late), Dominique, George, Kim, Jackie, Terry. She was also a wonderful great-aunt.

Leo was friends to many – both in Barbados and Canada. She loved to travel and began her career as a flight attendant in her teens when she left Barbados in the 1960s to travel to Montreal, Canada. It was this that allowed her to travel the world, and she made many amazing friends.

Leo’s Celebration of Life will be held Thursday April 4, 2024 at 1:30p.m, at Ward’s Funeral Home
