Durning, Leonard (Len) – Veteran WWII
Peacefully passed away at the Waterford Long Term facility in Oakville, Ontario on March 16, 2012 at the age of 87. Dearly beloved husband of the late Ivy Durning. Loving Father to Nancy (Andy) and the late Sandra Martine. Dear grandfather to Ryan and Johnny. Dear brother of William and sister of the late Gladys Doherty .
Len will be missed by many family and friends. Special thanks to Lynda, Dad’s care provider and Angel who cared for Dad during his last few years. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South (Hwy #10), Brampton on Monday March 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held at the Ward Chapel on Tuesday March 20th at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy fund would be greatly appreciated.
