LEAH AGATHA CAMPBELL - IN MEMORIAUM
SUNRISE: MAY 27TH, 1938. SUNSET: DECEMBER 2, 2025
Leah, Agatha also known as "sister Bernice" was born the second of eight siblings in Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, then British Guiana. She grew upin the Lusignan/Buxton environment where she attended school and St. Augustine's Anglican Church.
In her teen age years, due to the untimely death of her mother Rebecca, parenting her younger siblings with the help of father John, the only breadwinner, was the priority and challenge thrusted upon her. Upon reflection, Leah did her best with her skill level and developed a sense of toughness which stood her in good stead in later years..
After primary school Leah worked for the Windsor Shirt Factory at Lusignan and thereafter, Plaisance, E.C.D
Leah emigrated to Canada to broaden her horizon and help her younger sisters with the parenting of their growing families. All of whichpointed to the ongoing love she developed and exhibited for her siblings, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her independence firecely and felt comfortableonly with arms length relationship.
Leah is predeceased by her parents, John and Rebecca; brothers John, Compton, Franklin, Raymond and sister, Pamela.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
