The Story of Lars
Lars was born on 19/07/46 to his proud parents Maren and Ejgild Rhiger in Aarhus, Denmark. His two older sisters Inge aged 10 and Elly aged 6, were excited at the arrival of their little brother. Over the years they had several hilarious adventures too numerous to mention. In other words a happy childhood.
Lars came from a long line of Bakers most of whom had their own Pastry shops. The only trouble with marrying a Baker’s son is, when you have a sweet tooth; they normally don’t.
Moving ahead 21 years, one day in March(the 15/68) to be exact, a young lady at the ripe old age of 19 and a young man of 21, were married.
Was it happily ever after…..well that took a lot of hard work, but as we were in it for the long haul, we eventually found the melody, thank the Good Lord. We celebrated our 47th anniversary 11 days prior to Lars’s death.
I can go on in glorious detail, but I think I’ll stop here and say: Lars, my heart, we loved each other with everything we had you were a good and gentle man with a kind heart. You will be a part of me till we meet again. As the song says:There will never be anyone else but you for me.
Thank you for 48 wonderful years (I’m including the dating year) I’ll love you always….Your Karin.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
