Kurt Diener

DIENER, Kurt Eduard. October 5, 1936 – March 29, 2016. We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our much loved Father and Opa at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Christel Diener (nee Losse) for 57 years. Devoted father to Kurt Diener (Carol Austin) and Monika DiLorenzo (Mark DiLorenzo). Cherished Opa to his four grandchildren and their partners, Julian Diener, Christian Diener, Matthew DiLorenzo and Miranda DiLorenzo. Kurt will be remembered for his playful sense of humour and wonderful German food shared at so many family meals. Kurt loved most coaching hockey and watching his grandkids play sports, summers fishing on Manitoulin Island, hiking with his wife in his retirement years on Blue Mountain, and listening to Polka music. Cremation has taken place and entrusted to Ward Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Kurt’s Life at Weston Gardens Retirement Residence, 303 Queens Drive, Toronto on Sunday, April 10 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
