Knolly Meyers

 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, and a loving husband to Shirlyn Meyers. Knolly Meyers, born on January 6, 1939, in Trinidad, West Indies. After  residing in Venezuela for several years, he ultimately made his home in Toronto. Knolly peacefully departed this life at the age of 86 on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Humber River Hospital.

Knolly was the cherished son of the late Lena Mayers and Pedro Figaro. His siblings include Shirley (Deceased), Monica, twins: Sylvia (Deceased) and Sylvie, Ursilla, Jean (Deceased), Bowen (also known as Desmond- Deceased), Errol, twins: Ray (Deceased) and Raymond, and Glen.

 Knolly is the father of Maria,Luis, Sonya and Janelle and Diane (who passed on January 25, 2025). He also leaves a meaningful legacy as a stepfather to Mark, Aden, Sharon and Susan. His devotion and love and reflected in his grandchildren: Tiffanee, Jody, Khassandria, Jardell, Nigel, Quin, Aaron, Luana, Tiffiny, Zakiyya, Zion, Zani, Jaiden, Jaiyannah, and Jailah. His legacy continues through his great grandchildren: Khaliyah, Arantza, Hannah, Lebron, Quincy, Iris, Bjorn, Laurent, Jayden, Imara, Promiis, Jaidenn Jr  and lastly two great grandson on the way. He is also surrounded by a large extended family of nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.

Knolly was also father to his beloved household pet bird, he affectionately called “Cutie” who passed away just five weeks prior to him.

He was adored and will be fondly remembered by family and friends across Ontario, Alberta, Trinidad, Venezuela, Brazil, Guyana, Atlanta, Holland, New York, Texas, Boston and Florida.

Knolly will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We find comfort in the hope of reunion in the sweet by and by.

Visitation for Knolly will take place at the Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Rd., Toronto) on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, from 11:30PM-1PM; followed by a Funeral Service in the same establishment. There will be no burial to follow, as we are respecting his wishes of Cremation.
