Knolly Meyers

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, brother, uncle, grandpa; Knolly Meyers, born on January 6, 1939, in Trinidad, West Indies. After leaving Trinidad, he lived in Venezuela for a number of years and subsequently arrived and remained in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At the age of 86, Knolly peacefully departed this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Humber River Hospital.

Knolly was the son of the late Lena Mayers and Pedro Figaro. His siblings include Shirley (Deceased), Monica, twins: Sylvia (Deceased) and Sylvie, Ursilla, Jean (Deceased), Bowen (aka Desmond- Deceased), Errol, twins: Ray (Deceased) and Raymond, and Glen. Knolly is the father of Maria, Diane (Deceased Jan 24, 2025), Luis, Sonya and Janelle; and honourary step-children, Mark, Aiden, Sharon and Susan. Knolly leaves an incredible legacy through his grandchildren: Tiffanee, Jody, Khassandria, Jardel, Nigel, Quin, Aaron, Luana, Tiffiny, Zakiyya, Zion, Zani, Jaiden, Jaiyannah, and Jailah. His legacy continues through his great grandchildren: Khaliah, Arantza, Hannah, Lebron, Laurent, Bjron, Quincy, Iris, Imara, Jayden, Promiis, Jaiden Jr and great grandson on the way. Not to mention the immense pool of nieces and nephews.

Knolly was also father to his beloved household pet bird, he affectionately called “Cutie” (Died 5 weeks before Daddy).

Knolly was adored and will always be remembered by an extremely large family and friends group that extends from Ontario to Alberta, Trinidad, Venezuela, Brazil, Guyana, Atlanta, Holland, New York, Texas, Boston and Florida.

He will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we anticipate our reunion in the sweet by and by.

Visitation for Knolly will take place at the Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Rd., Toronto) on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, from 11:30PM-1PM; followed by a Funeral Service in the same establishment. There will be no burial to follow, as we are respecting his wishes of Cremation.
