Klaas Knor

Klaas Knor passed in his 92nd year at Holland Christian Homes in Brampton ON, on April 20th, 2024. He is survived by his wife Everdina (nee Klein) of 72 years, his children Dick (Sue) (Late Harriet), Harry, Liz (Irv) Dorn, daughter in law Ingrid Knor, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Klaas immigrated from Holland in the early 1950’s to Sarnia, Ontario where he worked in a Steel Mill and later a bicycle shop. After moving to Toronto he worked for Ontario Hydro for 35 years, retiring at age 57. Klaas and his wife would become part of the snow birds group for three months of the year. He maintained that contributed to his long life. Klaas loved to play chess, golf, and cards. He also loved camping, sailing, woodworking and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs lose. He will be sadly missed by friends and family for his dry sense of humour. He is remembered as being a happy and kind person who was always willing to help his neighbours. Klaas was a remarkable person who lived a fulfilling life surrounded by loved ones. He loved God, his family and his friends and believed himself to be incredibly blessed to have lived such a long and wonderful life.

In lieu of flowers memorial tributes can be made in the form of charitable donations to Operation Smile Canada or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
