Our dear Ken, loving father, husband, grandfather and friend was peacefully released from his long ordeal with Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, May 25th, 2011. Always loved by his daughter Nancy, son Tom, late wife Mary, his wife Betty and all of the wonderful grandchildren they shared. Ken loved life. After retiring from Ontario Hydro in 1983, he relished all that life had to offer, including travel, gardening, golf, bridge, singing (especially to his grandchildren - those weird and wonderful songs), birding, cooking, music, family and friends. Ken will always be so happily remembered for his contagious love of life. Even through his struggle, he never lost his smile.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Monday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
