August 10, 1934 – August 20, 2011
Passed away, on Saturday August 20, 2011, with family by his side. Missing him dearly are his wife of 53 years, Rosalie, son Stuart, his partner Laurel, daughter-in-law, Paula and cherished grandchildren, Laurel and Blair, his brother Graham and his wife, Helen. He enjoyed great relationships with his nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada and the U.S.A.
Born in Winnipeg on August 10, 1934 to Ruth and George Bentley, he relocated with his parents to Toronto at the age of 9. Keith graduated Engineering Physics from the University of Toronto in 1959. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, where he met many of his lifelong friends. Keith spent the majority of his career at Ferranti Packard Electronics (Mark IV Industries). As an avid Ham radio enthusiast, Keith was a founding member of the Toronto FM Communication Society, and an active executive of the Quarter Century Wireless Association, Chapter 73.
Keith enjoyed jazz and classical music and spent many hours on the ski hills.
The family wishes to thank all his caring and thoughtful friends and caregivers.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (just west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Wednesday August 24th from 7-9pm . A Celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2011 at 1pm in the chapel.
