Katina Balaka

BALAKA, Katina "Kathy" - Passed peacefully in her 89th year surrounded by loved ones at the Brampton Civic Hospital on April 16, 2015. Predeceased by her husband Tom (Traianos), and sister Sofia Metaxa. She will be greatly missed by her sons Jim (Chrysanthi) and Christos (Mary), daughter Agapi, sister Angelina (Tom), and brother Athanasios (Eleni). Beloved Yia Yia to Maria (Christos), Dimitri (Voula), David (Bruna), Steven (Patricia), Tom (Megan), Alex (Jaime), Tony (Lindsey) and Jason. She will also be missed by her 13 great-grandchildren - Christos, Alexis, Chrysa, Isabella, Agapi, Thomas, Clavella, Sofia, Katerina, Daniel, Ava, Giavanna, and Giovanna. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Weston" Chapel on Monday, April 20th, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church on Tuesday, April 21st at 11:00am.
