Kathleen Sikka passed away peacefully on Thursday June 6, 2024 at the age of 84. Devoted wife of Lal of 58 wonderful years. Proud mother of Patrick (Sabrina). Cherished Grandmother of Adriana and Michael. Loving sister of the late Thomas (Catherine). Kathleen will be sadly missed by her many family and friends.
Born to parents Patrick and Betty in the County of Monaghan in Ireland. Kathleen studied hard and became a nurse in England. It was here that she had an interesting and persistent patient who she treated for over a week. After his release, he returned to ask her out. Kathleen agreed to join him for a coffee. Little did she know that her former patient Lal would become her husband.
The couple started their family with the arrival of their son Patrick. Kathleen was extremely proud of their son and enjoyed helping him with his schoolwork and encouraging him to excel.
Kathleen was an inspiration to every member of our family. Her dedication to helping others in need, by volunteering with the elderly and the sick was how she thought her time to be best spent.
She loved spending time with Adriana and Michael colouring and doing arts and crafts. Kathleen enjoyed reading a good book with the cat curled up at her feet.
Tracing her family tree was another favorite past time.
