Karen Edith Donaldson was a woman of quiet faith, deep love, and gentle strength. On January 25, 2026, she passed peacefully into God’s care, leaving behind a life beautifully woven with devotion to family, compassion for others, and a steady trust in the Lord.
Born on May 20, 1940, Karen lived her life with grace and humility. She was a beloved daughter of the late William and Agnes Donaldson and a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. To so many, she was simply and lovingly known as “Auntie,” a title she carried with warmth and pride. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought reassurance, and her love was felt deeply by all who were blessed to know her.
Karen is reunited in Heaven with her parents, her brothers William, Harry, Gordon, and Victor, and her dear nieces Lynn, Maureen, and Carolyn. We find peace in knowing she now rests in eternal light, free from pain, embraced by God’s promise of everlasting life.
She will be deeply missed by her sister Agnes, her nieces and nephews Robert, Richard, Karen, Pamela, William, James, Catherine, Gordon, Bonnie, and Penny, and lovingly remembered by her many great nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and the faith she lived so quietly yet so faithfully.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the John M. Parrott Centre for the compassion, dignity, and kindness they showed in caring for our Auntie. Your gentle care was a true reflection of God’s love in action.
Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in the hope of resurrection and the promise that we will meet again. Until that day, Karen’s spirit remains with us, guiding, comforting, and reminding us that love never ends
