Passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital after a 3 year battle with cancer. Judy is predeceased by her loving mother Muriel Johnson (nee Fairley). She will be greatly missed by her devoted children Colleen and Ross Ramage, father S. Ross Johnson, and her siblings Kim Clark (nee Johnson), Grant and Scott Johnson. Judy also leaves a number of nephews, nieces and cousins, by whom she will be fondly remembered.
Judy graduated with honors from University of Western Ontario in history studies in 1978. She began her banking career in Toronto at CIBC, and then National Bank of Detroit. After moving to New York, Judy gained a leading sales position at Wood Gundy. She married Michael Ramage and moved back to Toronto to start a family, beginning with Colleen Elizabeth, in 1986, and Stuart Ross in 1988. Judy dedicated herself to raising Colleen and Ross and maintaining a loving family home. She was involved in school politics as an active PTA member, as well as a constant presence at sporting events and recitals. Judy returned to work after her children entered their teens, this time as an educator. Working as an educational assistant for the Halton District School Board. After retiring, Judy put her energy into family life, enjoying her dog, and charitable pursuits. She joined Maycourt Club in Oakville, taking a strong role in community youth initiatives.
There will be a visitation for friends and family on Monday February 8, 2016, from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held, on Tuesday February 9, 2016, at 11:30 am. Both will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street Oakville. All who wish to celebrate Judy’s life are welcome.
