It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Judite (Judith) da Conceicao Andrade Aguiar de Medeiros, who was born on February 28, 1947, and passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2026, in the arms of her loving husband, Laurenio Martinho Vieira Medeiros.
Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Portugal, Judith journeyed to Canada as a young woman with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose strength, warmth, and unwavering determination touched the lives of all who knew her. She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Laurenio, and together they built a life rooted in family, resilience, and care.
She leaves behind her cherished sons, Martin (Lella) and Joshua (Lindsey), and her beloved grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlynn, and Cruz, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Judith is reunited in eternal rest with her parents, Maria de Jesus Aguiar and Manuel Aguiar; her sister, Maria Gilda, and her brother, Antonio. She will be deeply missed by her surviving siblings: Manuel, Jose Eduardo, Alice, and Maria. She leaves behind her caring brothers and sisters-in-law and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews along with their children, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Judith will also be held close in the hearts of a cherished circle of friends who, over the years, became her extended family.
Judith dedicated 47 years of her life to Simmons Canada, where her strong work ethic, commitment, and pride in her work earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike. She approached every aspect of her life with determination and grace, always putting her family at the center of everything she did.
She will be remembered as a loving and loyal friend, a hardworking and driven woman, and someone who brought strength and light into every room she entered. Judith had a remarkable ability to make anything happen, no matter the circumstances; a testament to her resilience, resourcefulness, and spirit.
Her legacy of love, strength, and perseverance will live on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinsons Society would be appreciated by the family.
