It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph F. Christopher Erskine at the age of 87 on November 23th, 2025. Joseph was born on December 30th, 1937, in Georgetown, Guyana to Fitzgerald and Florence Erskine, and was one of 10 children. He will be greatly missed by his brother Neville, and is now reunited with his siblings, Geraldine, Sheila, Horace, Oswald, Allan, Patrick, Yvonne, and Felix.

Joseph was a proud father to Colleen, Neil (Karen), Carol (Orlan), Clifford (Anne), Madonna and Michelle. He was also a beloved grandfather to Wellesley, Shammarah, Landon, Quaton, Jaedon, Jonathan, and Samantha. He will be greatly missed by his many extended family members, and friends.

Joseph will be remembered for his easy going personality, as he would never worry. He was very quiet, but sociable, and was quite intellectual as well, having the ability to solve any math problem put before him. He could be serious at times, but loved a good joke, and his laughter and smile were contagious. He had a great fondness of bowling, which was his first love, and also enjoyed baseball and hockey.

Our grief over losing Joseph is infinite, but our loving memory of him will always remain in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph's name to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
