Jose De Braga

Jose De Braga died peacefully in his sleep Sunday after a short unexpected illness. Jose was one month
short of his 90th birthday.

Jose was the son of the late Jose De Braga and Maria Batista Braga and was born on The Island of Santa
Maria of the Azores Islands, Portugal where he lived until emigrating to Canada in 1965. Once he
established his landed status, his late wife Irene De Braga and two children Joe and Celeste came to build
a new life in Canada.

One (1) of ten (10) children, Jose is survived by sisters Maria DeCarmo DeBraga, Maria lnes DeBraga,
Deolinda DeBraga, Laurinda DeBraga, Helena Cardosa and Cisaltina DeBraga. Jose is pre-deceased by his
brother Antonia DeBraga and sisters Maria Jose DeBraga and Rosa Moreira.

Jose was the proud father of daughter Celeste Braga Miles (Mike) and Joe DeBraga (Elizabeth) and
grandfather to Mark Soares, Brian Soares, Adam Miles, Martin Debraga, Justin DeBraga and Mitchell
DeBraga. And super proud great grandfather to his namesake Joseph Franco DeBraga.

Jose enjoyed spending time at his trailer, playing dominoes and spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in memory of Jose.
