Passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 22, 2011 in Brampton, Ontario at the age of 87. John, a Canadian veteran, predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Irene. Loving father of Karen and her husband Stephen Moore, John and his wife Karen Leigh. Dearest Papa of Johnathon, Samantha and Courtney. Survived by his sister, Rose Sinichko. Fondly remembered by his niece Sandra Grimmer and her husband Bruce and nephew Henry Sinichko and his wife Heda. A special thank you to the staff of Burton Manor LTC for their care and kindness and to the fellow residents for the fond memories. Visitation: Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S. (Hurontario) in Brampton on Wednesday, January 26 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. There will be a private funeral service for the family. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
