John Peter Abraham Ryan | May 20, 1936–September 14, 2026

With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of John Peter Abraham Ryan on Monday, September 14, 2026, at age 90.
Loving husband to the late Eleah Christina Ryan (2022), his beloved wife of 61 happy years.

John was a loving father to Serena (Jesse), Margaret, Samuel (Pauli), Joseph (Lisa),  Claire, and Linda. Cherished grandfather to Brandon, Trevor, Christopher, Catherine, Shantell, Thomas, Nathan, Elaire, and Daniel; and a proud great-grandfather to Treyvon, Joneil, Simone, Rose, and Waylon.

He was a dear brother to Mary, William, Emanuel, James, and the late Richard.  Born in Montserrat, West Indies, on May 20, 1936, he built a respected career as a supervisor at an industrial textile manufacturer. A devoted Anglican and longtime member of Christ Church in Brampton, John enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

John will always be remembered for his humility and warm smile.

Family and friends may visit Ward Funeral Home in Brampton on Friday, September 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
