NEWELL, John Arthur “Jack”

Peacefully on Sunday February 7, 2016 at Sunnybrook Hospital – Veterans K Wing, in his 94th year. Dearly loved husband of Margaret “Marg” Newell. Loving father of Kent (Marilyn) and Frank (Sherry). Special dad to Darlene Sterling (Brian), and the late Ray Heaslip (Wendy). Cherished grandpa to Carey, Scott (Julie), Todd (Vanessa), Kevin, and the late Lee. Dear Papa to Joshua and Brianna Sterling, and Rory Heaslip. Great-grandpa to Dillon, Kristopher, Tyler, Matthew, Josh, and Samantha. Missed by his brother Dr. Gordon Newell of Hollywood, Ca. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Jean Ryman (late Ernie) and Norma Nicholson (late Bruce). John will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, and many friends. A heart-felt thank you to all the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital – Veterans K2W Wing.
Funeral Services will be held at Westway United Church (8 Templar Dr., Etobicoke) on Wednesday February 10, 2016 at 11:30am. Visitation at church from 11am.
