John Richard Nazareth passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vera, to whom he was married for over 54 years; his two sons and their families: Warren (Romana) and their children Noah (22), Sophie (18), and Christian (11); and Craig (Gabriella) and their children Myka (18), Fox (15), Beau (11) and Krista Thomson, the children's mother.

Known as “Richard” to close family and friends, he will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing, playing cards, his beloved Toronto Maple Leaf's, and solving sudoku puzzles.

Richard will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, strength, dedication to family, strong work ethic, and sense of humour. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he took great pride in his family and the life he built.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the many people who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in peace.
