As a faithful member of Crosspoint (2nd) Christian Reformed Church he served on many committees and boards. John lived out his faith in service to many Christian organizations including: John Knox Christian School, Toronto District Christian HS, Bibles for Missions thrift store, Shalem, and Holland Christian Homes. He loved history, pipe organs and travelling and combined these loves on a trip to the Netherlands with his family and grandchildren, John and Jennifer.
