John Kaldeway

With incredible love and sadness, we announce the death of John Kaldeway, age 83, on November 26, 2025, at Brampton Civic Hospital, with family by his side.

John was a dedicated and beloved husband to Sylvia Kaldeway, whom he was married to for 61 happy years. Four kids were lucky enough to call him Dad – Carolyn, Michael (Carolyne), Christy (Wayne), and Trish (the late Jim, 2010). John will be greatly missed as a wonderful Grandpa to Kelsey (Jordan), Megan (Andy), Jacob, Lauren, Eric, Jenna, Leah, Lucas and Allison.

John will be missed by his siblings Martin (Alice), Mary, and Peter (Annette). He is predeceased by his brother Herman and sister Dianne. He will be forever loved and missed by many nieces, nephews and many close friends.

John’s greatest joy in life was his family, and he was happiest when surrounded by them. He was known for his calm nature, his wisdom, and his love of music and flowers. He was successful in business and was someone people went to for advice and guidance. But John was a humble man, dedicated to his faith, church and family.

He will be greatly missed; however his legacy of love will live on in his family and many loved ones. He will be loved and missed forever.

A Celebration of John’s life will take place at Holland Christian Homes (Heritage Hall) on Saturday, December 6th at 1:30pm. A reception/visitation will follow.
