John Jukna, born on September 18, 1964, in Etobicoke, Ontario, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at St. Michaels Hospital. He lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and a profound love for his family and the city he cherished.
John was predeceased by his beloved mother Margaret, his brother Peter, and his father Henry. He is survived by his loving sister Wendy; his brother Richard (Reed), along with his wife Carol; and his sister Joan, and her husband Michael. John was a devoted uncle to Christa (Warren), Shantelle (Jesse), Jake (Cassidy), and Jesse. He also held the title of beloved great-uncle to Jack, Quentin, Nash, Summer, and Rose.
In addition to his family, John leaves behind his dear friend Adi and his sweet dog Ella, who provided companionship and comfort throughout his life.
John's passion and commitment for his work was evident to all who knew him; he was often the first to arrive and the last to leave at night. His dedication extended beyond his professional life into his deep love for Toronto, a city he knew intimately. He reveled in driving its streets, often finding joy in simply wandering and experiencing new corners and hidden gems of the city.
John will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his deep love for family, and his enthusiasm for both work and exploration. His presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
