John Samuel Jarjour

John Samuel Jarjour was born in Aleppo, Syria on March 14, 1932. He passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025 at the age of 93 with his wife by his side at their home in Brampton.

In the middle of World War 2, John's family fled to Tripoli, Lebanon. It was his ambition to immigrate to Canada and he did so in 1958, landing in Montreal, Quebec. He married his wife in 1965, and they had two sons: Roger in 1966 and James in 1968. In 1978, the family moved to Brampton where John operated a small taxi company.

John was a warm and outgoing person. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fadwa (née Melhem), their two sons Roger (Marisa) and James (Sabine), and his three grandchildren Robyn, Kevin, and Elio. He is remembered by his brother Albert, and his sister Marie-Rose and their families.
