Helferty, John Edward “Jack” (1943-2016)

Peacefully following a short illness at Brampton Civic Hospital on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Beloved husband of Pauline. Loving father of Lisa and her husband Kevin Malcolm. Cherished "papa" to grandsons David and Nicholas. Fondly remembered by his sisters in law Marianne Williams and Julia Cardone and their families. Jack was a respected teacher and principal with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for 35 years. His passion for education continued into his retirement in his role as associate professor at Tyndale University.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Brampton Civic Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4/7-9 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church (2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd.W, Mississauga), on Friday October 28, 2016 at 11 am. Reception to follow.
