John Clarke

It is with deep sadness that we announce that John left this life unexpectedly having met all its challenges with determination, great energy, kindness and his raucous laugh. Always the gracious host, he shared his love for a special glass of wine with all who dined at their dinner table.
John was born in Barbados WI, attended Upper Canada College and remained in Canada to establish his own successful Commercial Insurance Brokerage.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie; his sons Gerald (Lil), Brian, Gary (Cheryl) and David (Samantha); his grandchildren Amanda, Shane, Chantal, Ashlea, Corey, Finley, Mimi and Foster; nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by son Michael. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Thursday, October 2 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and again Friday, October 3 from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville, at 1 p.m. Interment at St. Jude's Cemetery, 258 Lakeshore Road West with reception following at St. Andrew Parish Centre.
