Joan Coralie Pettit (nee Lt. Joan Fellowes) Veteran WWII
Born on June 20th, 1920 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Harold and son Doug. She leaves behind her daughters Carol (the late Fred) Wilkins, Nancy (Pat) McCabe, Cate (Ian) Hazell; grandchildren Stephen, Doug, Bradley, Ian and Graham; great grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, Thomas, Lucas, Connor, Syvanna, Madison, Sarah, Weston and Justine and brother Peter Fellowes. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews whom she so enjoyed. Joan will be fondly remembered by her longtime Friend Marg Tune and numerous friends. Member of Br. 31 Royal Canadian Legion. Thank you to the staff of Toronto Western Hospital for going above and beyond with their outstanding care. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Monday from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cardiac Unit of the Toronto Western Hospital would be app reciated.
