CONKLIN, Joan (May 10, 1925-Feb 23, 2012)
Our sadness and sense of loss at this time is balanced by the feelings of love and happiness that you gave us during your lifetime. Peacefully at home with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer, Joan beloved wife of the late Ross Conklin and sister of the late Margaret Tranter, is survived by her children, Debbie (Dan) McLaughlin and Brad (Robin) Conklin, her grandchildren Candice, Lee, Matthew, Joanna and Amanda and her great grandchildren Riley and Avery. Joan will be dearly missed by her nephews and nieces and their respective families, her many friends and all that knew her. Joan was a long time employee of the City of Brampton Parks Department and former Matron and member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Monday from 12-2 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
