Jean Claude Messier

Passing away suddenly on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in his 77th year, Jean Claude was pre-deceased in 2009 by his beloved wife Yolande following 54 years of marriage. Formerly of Montreal, and a long time Mississauga resident, Jean was a loving father to his children, Danielle, Richard, Helene and Christine, and a proud Papa to Dana, Mitchell and Shawn. He is survived by his brothers Andre and Guy, and will be sadly missed by his family, as well as his many friends and business associates. JC was an avid hockey player and golfer, and his passionate support of the Montreal Canadiens never waned. Jean enjoyed a varied and successful executive sales career in Canada and the U.S. Jean's contributions to the Mississauga Lakeshore Rotary will be missed. The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville, 905-844-3221, on Thursday, November 3 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service at the same location on Friday, November 4 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
