Williamson, James Patrick Moffat
In his 90th year, peacefully, “Jimmy” joins his wife, Audrey, of 50 years. He was predeceased by his elder brothers, Alexander, William (Bill), and Peter, father Alexander and mother Elizabeth.
Survived by his “Two Beauties”, daughters Laura Thomas (Howard) and Carol DiStasi (Jim Taylor), adoring grandsons, Christopher (Penny), Alex (Ashley), Peter (Sami) and Bill, and great grandchildren Jace and Audrey.
A loving husband, father and “Papa”, he cherished time family time above all. An accomplished trombonist, Jim played into his 80’s as a member of the Mississauga Big Band Jazz Ensemble and Kerr Street Big Band. A family historian of proud Scottish heritage, Jim will be remembered fondly by his family, friends and all those who knew him as a warm and gentle soul who always had a kind word to say.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (Weston Chapel) 2035 Weston Road, on Monday January 29th from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:30 to 8:30pm. Service on Tuesday at Central United Church, 1 King Street, Weston at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
He will be missed dearly.
