McKEDDIE, JAMES GORDON BRODIE
July 16, 2004- April 17, 2013

Surrounded with love, hugs and kisses, our darling James passed away very peacefully with Mommy (Christina), Daddy (Gordon) and his loving sister (Mary) by his side. James passed away at the tender age of 8 at the Hospital For Sick Children on Wednesday April 17, 2013. James bore his journey with Disseminated Low Grade Glioma (brain and spinal tumours) with amazing courage, determination and inspiration. He was the ultimate fighter. No words can express our true thanks to James’ incredible neuro oncology and neurosurgical team at Sick Kids. Your support, kindness and compassion will always be remembered. Thank you to: Dr Bouffet, Dr. Bartels, Dr. Huang, Jordan, Lindsay and Tina. Thank you to Dr. Tabori and Ali Henderson for the tender love and compassion that you treated our darling James with during his last day with us. From our hearts, a very special thank you to Dr. John Paul Kilday; you were an angel sent to us. Thank you to the Father Serra School Community for their continued kindness and support. James is dearly loved and will be missed beyond words by so many family members and friends in Canada, Scotland and Spain. The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Sunday April 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of James’ life will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church (1415 Royal York Rd Etobicoke)
on Monday April 22nd at 9:30 am . Cremation to follow.
Our darling James will be layed to rest with his beloved Grandma Mary and Grandpa John Brodie. Donations made to the Hospital For Sick Children Brain Tumour Research would be greatly appreciated by Gordon, Christina and Mary.
