HELESIC, JAMES FRANK
February 15, 1940 – August 25, 2018

With great sadness at the Village of Sandalwood Park LTC on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 78 the long goodbye has quietly ended.
Beloved husband of the late Gayle Helesic (nee long). Loving father to Terri-Ann Helesic. Adored father of Marijo Howard (Allain) and Nancy Howard-Hopper (Keith). Grandfather of Derek and Kristopher.
Sadly missed by his brother Bill Helesic (Betty), predeceased by his mother and father Frank Helesic and Mary Helen Horkoi, his older brothers Steve, Mark and Jerry.
Loving brother in law to Terry Long (Barbara). Sadly missed by his nephew and nieces Jason Long (Letisia), Paul Helesic (Laurie), Pattie Maize (Randy), Scott, Robert and Bob Helesic. Along with relatives and friends.
Jimmy will be sadly missed by members of the Brampton Legion Branch 15 and his revered Sears, colleagues and friends retiring after 31 years of loyalty and service.
Jim’s integrity, dependability and business acumen along with his quick-witted sense of humor and ability to liven up any occasion will be missed by all those who knew him. His diverse knowledge and incredible interests provided him the ability to interact with anyone he met. He will be remembered with a smile and as a man of his word who would always go out of his way to help out his family, friends and business associates.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Brian Thicke, Dr. Jonathan Giddens, Dr. Harry Earle and the LTC VSP Angels who took care of dad with unwavering kindness and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10) on Thursday, Aug 30 from 10-12, 2-4 & 7-9pm and Friday Aug 31 from 10-11:30 followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 in the Chapel. Interment Maitland Cemetery Goderich, ON.
