With profound sadness, yet deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved father, James Argus Andrade, on January 4, 2026. He left this world peacefully after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, complicated by recent illness, surrounded by the love of his family. Born into challenging circumstances without his parents to guide him, he was raised with care by his aunts, who provided a stable home and the opportunity to attend boarding school. From these humble beginnings emerged a man of extraordinary resilience, wisdom, and quiet strength. After completing his education, he started his own small business, demonstrating early entrepreneurial spirit. Seeking greater opportunities for his family, he took on demanding work on the oil rigs with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). With unwavering determination, he later immigrated to Canada, where he retrained to master the skilled trade of CNC machining. He worked diligently in this field until his well-earned retirement. A devoted Catholic Christian, James found deep meaning in faith and philosophy. He often reflected on the words from the Gospel of John: “In the beginning was the Word,” explaining to his children that “the Word” meant a thought—the divine intention behind all creation. He lived by this belief, approaching life with purpose, high standards, and profound love. While he expected excellence from his children, he granted them the freedom to forge their own paths, guiding without controlling, loving without condition. In his final years, Parkinson’s tested him greatly, yet his spirit remained unbroken. Even in illness, he continued to inspire those around him with his patience and enduring faith. He is now at rest, safely home in the arms of the Lord he served so faithfully. James is survived by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren, who will carry his legacy of hard work, wisdom, and unconditional love in their hearts forever. Rest in peace, Dad.
" A golden heart has stopped beating, hard-working hands are now at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best."
