Jack Kalpakian
Jack Kalpakian, born in Egypt of Armenian heritage passed at Humber River Hospital on August 6, 2016 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Carole. Most loving father of Richard, Brenda (Sweety Pi), Iain and Elizabeth. Respected father-in-law of George, Nancy and Lee. Devoted grandfather of Julia (Little Sweety Pi), Anthony (Super A), Alexis and Aaliyah.
Jack began his teaching career in Mathematics in Cairo, Egypt at the Cairo American College and stayed in touch with his students from CAC for many years. When he came to Canada, he taught Mathematics/French Immersion at Runnymede Collegiate Institute for 32 years and remained in contact with his students from RCI also. He was much loved and appreciated by the students he taught, whom he treated like his own children. His dedication, commitment and passion always went above and beyond, and the pride he felt at his students’ accomplishments was among his greatest satisfactions in life.
He will be deeply missed by all.
