J. Bernard Crowley

Passed away January 1, 2011 at the age of 89 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Mary Frances (Ryan), and children Bernardine McAdie (late husband Paul), Patrick (Donna), and Kevin (Catherine). Proud grandfather to Melissa, Mathew, Jack, Kathleen, Simon, Hélène and Elizabeth. Born in Alberta in 1921, Bern moved to Ontario in 1953 and was a member of the real estate industry in Oakville and Mississauga for many years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 60 years, and was a 4th Degree member and former Grand Knight of Marian Council 3881. Sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, and to Bern’s many friends in the Knights of Columbus and St. Michael’s Parish in Oakville. Family and friends will be received at the “Oakville Chapel” of the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville.
