Needham, Ivy P. (nee Elliston)

Passed away peacefully at her home with family at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Robert Henry Needham. Mother of Robert Jr., Bonnie, and Ronald. Grandmother of Patricia Blomme, Kevin, Shari, Jami and Matthew. Great Grandmother of Adam and Logan Blomme. She will be deeply missed by Gordon Badger, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a proud long time member of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans unit 383. Thank you to Dr. Abrams, known to Ivy as “Dr. Smiley” whom she grew very fond of, and all nurses and caregivers for palliative care provided. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 5 at 11am. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. Friends and family are also invited to a reception at the ANAF Unit 383 at 1649 Weston Rd. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army or the Temmy Latner Centre would be greatly appreciated.
