Ivo Santolini passed away peacefully in his own home on December 11, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving behind a life defined by devotion, generosity, and strength. He spent most of his years with his wife Julie in Etobicoke, Canada, where he built not only a home, but a legacy of love and service that reached far beyond its walls. The love he had for Julie is something that all should strive to achieve in life with a marriage that lasted over 70 years. Together they taught us that nothing is more important than family, and spent their entire life dedicated to helping and loving them
Ivo was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Donna Geary, his grandson Taylor Geary, his son in law Michael Geary, his nephews Larry and Jim Santolini, niece Karen Henderson and her children James, Kevin, Chris Henderson. He treated all who entered his life as though they were family and to many, he was more than a friend or colleague but rather a father figure and guiding presence in so many lives.
Ivo was a man who believed deeply in showing up to his fullest potential, for his work, his family, his wife Julie, and the many people who came to rely on him. As a plant manager at Sunbeam, he was dedicated to his craft and deeply respected by those who worked alongside him. He cared not just about the job being done, but about all the people there.
A true “Mr. Fix-It,” Ivo had an incredible ability to take things apart and rebuild them, a skill that reflected who he truly was at heart. Whether it was a broken appliance or a difficult moment, he had a way of quietly stepping in and making things whole again.
His life reminds us that impact is not measured just by grand gestures, but by showing small kindnesses at every opportunity, and a willingness to care for others without expectation. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched along the way. He will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly and is now reunited with his loving wife Julie and beautiful daughter Sharon.
