Ivan Pezdirec

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ivan Pezdirec, beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Predeceased by parents Anton and Katarina, brothers Josko and Toncek, and sister Anica.

Ivan leaves behind his sister Marija (Branko), brothers Stane (Late Karolina) and Anton (Marija), his dear friends Maria and Marko, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 grand nieces and 7 grand nephews, 8 cousins and many friends in Canada and Slovenia.

Ivan came to Canada in 1970. He had graduated trade school in Slovenija with many skills (welding, plumbing, lathing, drywall acoustics, locksmith and pipe fitting). These skills gave him opportunities to work in Ontario, Alberta, Ukraine and the Bahamas. He took great pride in the work he did, always giving his best for his clients.

Ivan was an avid outdoorsmen, who loved hunting and fishing with his close friends.

He would maintain close ties with his family in Slovenija and would return to visit almost every year. He had a big heart and was a true friend to Maria for 17 years and to many others. He was loyal, dependable, had a great sense of humour and was always willing to help in any way he could. His kindness left a mark on many people and he will be fondly remembered.
