Passed away quietly on July 23, 2011 at the age of 89 at Villa Colombo, Toronto. Dear wife of Gino (Predeceased). Loving mother of Joe (Liviana). Cherished nonna of David (Vicki) and Tara (Carmen Zambri). Loving bisnonna of Luke, Nicholas, Cristian and Philip. Iole will be lovingly missed by her brothers, sisters and many friends and family in Toronto and in Italy. We would like to thank the staff on the 1st floor of the Fidani Wing at Villa Colombo for their care and comfort provided to her in her final days. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Sunday and Monday from 6-9p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge on Tuesday, July 26th, 2011 at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Villa Charities or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
