It is with profound sadness that the family of Ida De Luca announces her passing after a brief illness on Wednesday July 16, at the age of 86 years.
Ida will be greatly missed by her children, Carmela (Douglas), Gennaro (Paola) and by her daughter-in law, Rosie, wife of her dear deceased son Fernando. Beloved nonna of her 7 grandchildren, Luca, Gabriel, Sicily, Samuele, Eloisa, Joey and Michael. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Our beloved Ida (Iduzza) was the epitome of kindness and all that is good in this world. She was motherhood personified, always giving unconditional love. She lived her life with love for her family and God. A devout Catholic, it was her strong faith in God that guided her life through joy and hardships. Mamma, we promise to find hope through the heartache, to find joy through the sadness, to find strength through incredible weakness, to love even when it’s hard, to live freely and bravely, even when we’re scared, to make the most of our days…to live in a way that would make you proud.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider donating to a charity that was close to Ida’s heart. The Society of The Little Flower. Click HERE to donate to the Society of the Little Flower
