Ian Riley
January 5, 1978 – March 18, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Ian Riley on March 18, 2026, at the age of 48.Ian was the beloved partner and husband of Lisa for 28 years, and a devoted father to their children, Sofia and Christopher.
He is also survived by his parents, Jerry and Mary; his sister, Jessica; his brother-in-law, Sean; his nephew, Bodhi; his mother-in-law, Maxine; his beloved dog, Henry; and his cherished cats, Joey and Rocky. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jeffares and Effie McCombe.
Ian will be deeply missed by many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who had the privilege of knowing him. Ian had a smile that could light up a room and found joy in both the big moments and the quiet, everyday ones spent with family and friends. He brought warmth, kindness, and a great sense of humour wherever he went. He was always willing to lend a hand—especially when it came to helping others with tech—and was someone who never said no when he was needed. Loyal, dependable, and deeply dedicated to his family, Ian’s generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
Ian was deeply committed to his work in IT at KIK Consumer Products, where he spent over two decades. He took pride in what he did and approached it with the same loyalty and commitment he brought to all areas of his life. Naturally curious, he loved building computers and was fascinated by how they worked, always eager to understand the details behind the scenes. Ian had a lifelong love of music. He played guitar and was part of a band in his teenage years—something he carried with him even as life became busier.
In keeping with Ian’s easygoing nature, the family invites guests to wear casual attire—his favourite Crocs and band or graphic T-shirts—as they gather to celebrate his life.
