In Loving Memory of Humberto Andrade Machado.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Humberto Andrade Machado, who passed away on July 25, 2026, at 1:43 p.m. at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario, at the age of 65, following a courageous decade-long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Humberto faced his illness with extraordinary strength, resilience, and determination. Though his journey was long and difficult, he left this world with the dignity and grace he had always wished for, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on December 21, 1960, Humberto was the devoted husband of Guilhermina Machado, his partner in life and love. Together, they built a beautiful family and created a life filled with love, memories, and devotion.
Humberto carried with him the values of his Portuguese roots — family, hard work, perseverance, and faith. Like so many who left their homeland in search of a better future, he made sacrifices and worked tirelessly to build a life he could be proud of. His greatest accomplishment was not measured by what he had, but by the family he built, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind.
He was a proud and loving father to Brian Machado, Ashley Machado, and Courtney Machado, and a cherished father-in-law to their spouses. He was also an adoring grandfather to Austin, Damian, Angel, Christian, Mia, Amadeus, Ailana, and Ava, who brought him immeasurable joy, pride, and happiness.
Humberto was predeceased by his beloved parents, brothers, sister, and brothers-in-law. Though they have gone before him, we find comfort knowing they are reunited once again.
A passionate soccer enthusiast, Humberto found great happiness in the game he loved. He enjoyed sharing his passion for soccer and creating memories with those around him. But above all else, his greatest joy was his family. Whether gathered together for a meal, celebrating milestones, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments meant the most to him.
Humberto will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, quiet strength, resilience through adversity, and the kindness he showed throughout his life. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Although our hearts are broken by his loss, we are forever grateful for the memories, laughter, lessons, and unconditional love he gave us. His presence will be deeply missed, his life will be forever honoured, and his memory will remain in our hearts for generations to come.
May he rest in eternal peace.
