Hilda Jean Hoyt, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Extendicare Brampton.
Hilda was the beloved wife of James Clinton “Clint” Hoyt (deceased) of over 60 years. Loving mother of Lorna and her husband Gary Stevenson. Proud and loving grandmother to Laura and Joanna Stevenson. Predeceased by brothers Orville (Terry) McKenney, Vernon (Agnes) McKenney. Sadly, missed by nieces Susan (Ron) Naples, Elizabeth (Doug) Phillips. Hilda was an accomplished curler, bridge player, lawn bowler and traveler and will be deeply missed by her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters, nieces and many extended family and friends.
Friends will be received at The Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street. S. (Hwy. 10), Brampton, on Thursday Aug 24th from 11:00 to 11:30 am. Service in the chapel at 11:30 am. A Private Family Interment will be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
