In his 97th year, Allan Heatley made his final exit on April 4, 2014. Predeceased by Marion, his beloved wife of 58 years, and his parents Herbert and Marjorie Heatley, Allan is remembered by his children Stephen (James Tyler Irvine) and Marney (Benton Leong), grandchildren Alexander (Danielle) and Andrew Leong and great grandson, Marco Leong. Except for his time overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War, Allan lived his entire life in Brampton where he was a dedicated member of the Brampton Citizen’s Band for over sixty-five years, a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Church, leader of the Knightsbridge Choir, and named Arts Person of the Year in 1997. The family thanks the staff at Woodhall Park and the Brampton Civic Hospital for their great care in his final months and days. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, Brampton from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 with funeral services on Wednesday, April 9 at 1 o’clock. Internment will take place at the Brampton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allan’s memory to the charity of your choice. Visit the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com.
