Helmut Koops

Helmut Otto Hugo Koops passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in his 93rd year. Cherished husband of Brigitte (pre-deceased) for 52 years and beloved father of sons: Perry (Diana), children Nicholas, Corbin and Angelina; Jeffrey (Susan), children Alexander and Megan; and Kevin (Michele), children Rachel and Julianna. Brother of Hartwig (Anneliese), Walter (Petra), and Harold. Pre-deceased by brothers Adolf (Erika), Ewald, and Manfred (Rita). Brother-in-law of Debbie (Doug) Perkins, and predeceased by Inge (Hannes) Sell. Much loved by many extended family members.

In honouring Helmut’s wishes and the family’s desire for privacy, there will be no public memorial service. Instead, the family invites those who knew him to take a quiet moment to reflect on the time they spent with Helmut, to share a story, a smile, or a memory that brings comfort.
