Hartmut Udo Jabs recently passed away on February 17th, 2021 at the age of 65.
Born in Germany, he migrated to Canada in the 1960s and fell in love with his new homeland.
He worked in the machining industry where he was a machinist and tool and die maker for many years, and later married and had two children Heather and Sarah.
Hartmut liked to be called Hart by his friends and family because it was a reminder of the symbol of the heart. Hart had many passions, but above all, he thrived in nature and the great outdoors. He was an excellent taxidermist, sportsman, had a passion for retro cars, and found solace in painting and gardening.
Hart also helped out a lot in the community. He was an avid churchgoer and volunteered often, as well as, providing labor service to all his neighbors with any seasonal yard work that was needed.
He gave his love and his time selflessly and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions services will be private.
We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to provide your condolences and photographs to the family through his memorial page.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel.
