Gus Christopher Korakis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gus Korakis, a beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He passed away peacefully, at the age of 52, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Irene, devoted father to his three cherished children Angelika (15), Elias (13) and Zoe (11).

Gus was born in Toronto to Constantin (predeceased), mother Elli. He is also survived by brother Louis and Bill, and niece Alexandra. Gus was a devoted husband and father whose greatest joy in life was being the biggest, loudest supporter of his children as he watched them play hockey, soccer and baseball. He was the kind of dad who dedicated himself to his children, driving around the province for hockey games. He was the BEST dad and husband! He is the fun uncle and best friend and biggest Maple Leaf fan. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Gus had a larger-than-life presence, a huge heart, and an infectious laugh/smile that lit up everyone around him. He was the life of every room he entered, full of energy, laughter and unforgettable stories. To know him was an honour, privilege and a laugh.

He was an electrician for 20 years employed by Smith and Long. He will be remembered as a hard working man.
